Charming Ljubljana
Capital Ljubljana is just 45 min drive from the farm. Park in Tivol and just walk the town and explore Plečnik heritage and drink a coffee near Ljubljanica. Tromostovje with othe Ljubljanica bridges, market place, Križanke, NUK, Parlament and castle are just some of the points to visit. / Photo Andrej Tarfila
Lake Bled
Lake Bled is almost on every to DO list. And is just 25 min drive from the farm. You can take Platna boat to visit small island with the churh or climb to the castle with the beautifull view over the lake. If you like to take good pictures you need to climb hill Osojnica just above the camping place Zaka. You can take a swim in Mlino, camping Zaka, Regatni center or swimming area bellow the castle.
Lake Bohinj
Lake Bohinj is the pearl in Trigav national park. Around 1 h drive from the farm. Beautiful lake surrounded with high mountains, clean watter and very fresh for swimming. You can have a walk around in 2 h or you take some side walk to Korita Mostnice, waterfall Savica or take cable car to ski resort Vogel. Park in Bohinjska Bistrica and take a bus to Bohinj to avoid crowd and high parking fees.
Small histroical towns
In the cirlce of 25 km you can visit old historical charming towns. Radovljica is known as the chocolate town, Kropa with the tradition of the smiths doing steel sculptures and products, Škofja Loka with a beautiful castle, and finally the Carinthian capital Kranj with its old town and home of the most famous Slovenian poet Franc Prešern.
Soča river
The Soča river is the most beautiful Slovenian river, cold, clean, with a turquoise color. Located near the Italian border and offers perfect options for different adrenaline water sports, from rafting, canyoning, kayaking, zip lines, …You can drive to the Soca Valley over Vrsic Pass and return by car train to Bohinjska Bistrica.
Velika planina
Velika planina is known for its hundreds of pastures where they serve mostly food that is based on home milk or typical pastors meals. You can use the lift or walk from Kamniška Bistrica.
